  • Sometimes weeks go past and it seems nowt happens or is achieved. This last week has felt like that. I keep sitting down at the computer only to turn it off a couple of hours later wise to the football results and nothing else.

  • Prior to that though we've been on a HardXS mission. We've filmed Gaz Parry at Paraseillas on his new problem, Nic Sellers and Pete Robbins on the slate, down 'The School' for 'a Brief History of Wood' and also managed to catch Andy Harris ticking his new problem on the Remergence block. It's right of Blind Date and on very small holes. Witness it here though I must admit that the compression doesn't help you see the holds. They are pretty miniscule.

  • Also Esoterica is finally done and dusted, the sound mix completed by white cabbage connoisseur Paul Fletcher. The last session of the mix turned into a bit of a nightmare when Paul brought in a 400g bar of chocolate which we promptly scoffed only for our brains to undergo a quiversome neuron meltdown.

Anyone coming to SHAFF can check out the final product as part of John Arran's talk 7pm Sun 25th March. Also 'Knowing Andy' is part of Andy Kirkpatrick's talk starting 9pm Sat 24th March. Incidentally 'Knowing Andy' won a 'Special Mention' at the Vancouver Mountain Film Festival last month.

  • For anyone who was wondering about last months T shirts offer, they have now gone.

  • Finally on the domestic front Slackjaw have finally moved out of Rich's attic and mark in officedown to a place in the centre of town. We're sharing with guidebook design guru, Al Williams, and music meisters Sheffield Vision. It seems a good time to resurrect that embarrassing photo of Mark back in the day.
